Requirements:
NEUROPUBLIC seeks to recruit a skilled backend developer to join our agriculture data governance/management team, based at our head office in Piraeus, Attica, Greece.
The role would suit a candidate with minimum 2-3 years’ experience focusing on the implementation of data modeling and data management frameworks with a strong understanding of databases and data analysis procedures. You will be working with a fast-paced multi-disciplinary team contributing to national and European projects designing and implementing information systems for data sharing in agriculture domain.
Responsibilities:
Contribute in technical requirements analysis
Data model specification
Design, implement and support data management systems
Design and implement security mechanism and data access control policies
Build reusable code and libraries for future use
Ensure system documentation is kept current and accurate
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
A University degree in Informatics, Computer Science or related field
Excellent programming skills in Java 7/8 and/or Python 3
Excellent knowledge of SQL
Working experience with ORMs
Knowledge to build REST web services
Excellent understanding of the development process (information gathering, planning, design, development)
Versions control systems (Git)
Excellent Greek and/or English communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively
Team player and communicate effectively
Motivated to learn new skills and apply new knowledge in practice
Additional Skills:
Familiarity with semantic technologies (XML, RDF, RDFS,OWL data models, Triplestores and SPARQL endpoints)
